Not at all! Added the Super Mario 64 soundfont to the list. There are 2 of them, that's the one made by tamkis. Here is damihacks version: Super Mario 64 Soundfont.

Contemplating on whether we should add snes soundfonts to the list, I really just wanted stuff beyond the bit era but I've found some really good snes soundfonts too.

Sure why not. A central hub of soundfonts ain't a bad idea.

Lets make it happen!

Could someone perhaps refresh my mind as to what purpose soundfonts serve? Other than that any central hub for resources is always convenient so personally I think this is a rather good idea. Soundfonts serve many purposes from remaking music to creating new compositions and thanks.

ah, got it got it, in that case it's not my cup of tea (not all that into making music, I enjoy playing instruments but I'm not any good at it nor do I really aspire to become good) However I should probably research them as one might get cool results from replacing soundfonts altogether (perhaps gerudo valley using jet force gemini soundfonts (probably takes a fair bit of conversion but could be neat... or perhaps not so neat)) You mean midi, what you want to do is get a midi (or create one) of gerudo valley and map whatever jet force gemini instruments you want to each midi track with the soundfont in a digital audio workstation like fl studio. It's really cool, fun, easy and you get better at it with practice.

You could try N64SoundTool. It allows you to replace instrument samples of various n64 sound formats.
Also, that Donkey Kong Country soundfont needs alot of work to sound any good. Lots of instruments don't have correct loop points and are off pitch.

Oh my mistake didn't know you were a coder CubeGod, your making a program that replaces instruments in roms like OoT? That's cool! Good luck with it and punk is right N64SoundTool can do this already if you just want to experiment. And replaced the current Donkey Kong Country soundfont link, evidently I found only 2 online.

This is cool, sorry for being late to the party so to speak, only just found this thread here. I'll add my Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (Nintendo DS) soundfont to the list as well.

I just noticed there are some soundfonts that are missing we could add like quest 64 and bomberman hero, anyone have those or know where we can find one?

I don't think anyones made them. IIRC Quest 64 had some bad music. Not sure about the samples though.

Quest 64 actually has some pretty decent music, I recommend listening to melrode, holy plains, the battle theme, dondoran, normoon and many more. Theres some real zelda starfox glover 64-esque stuff in there and I really was wondering about this one because the quality of the OST is so bad, mainly because the game is using only 16 bits of memory I suspect but if there were a soundfont it would sound better and plus I have the midis for both quest 64 and bomberman hero I hope someone makes one.

You could try N64soundtool. It should display the correct key, pitch and root key information. Some games it doesn't though as they are unknown.
