EDIT: Okay, through more testing, I think I found the problem. If you change settings in PJ64, and then try to play a game with HD textures, it will crash. Just don't modify any settings, or if you have to, change what you must, close, and re open it, then play your game. Can't believe it was that simple this entire time. xD
Thanks everyone, and I hope this helps anyone else with the same/similar issue(s).

I'm using Project64 1.6 and Glitch64 SVN215 Nov 18, as I was before. I'm 100% sure it's the high res texture option, because when I set it to "None", it works fine. Otherwise, it will load the game 100%, and then as soon as it would normally begin loading the textures for the game, it crashes.
From what I can see in the debug info, GlideHQ is causing the problem, but why? All I've upgraded is my hard drive, but either way, the same thing happens even when I'm running it from another drive. (ie my F: drive)
I have UAC disabled, I run the program as an administrator, I have all required drivers (video, sound, chipset), bios is updated, Windows has been fully updated, installed the latest DirectX runtimes, installed .NET framework for the hell of it (thought it might help), reinstalled video drivers freshly to see if that helps, it didn't. I even tried running it on different emulators; 1964 (which doesn't even attempt to load the textures, but works) and Nemu64 (has the same problem).
I have actually had "almost" success with PJ64 1.7, and it STARTS to work, (ie it starts loading the textures), but when about 95% of the textures are loaded, it fails with an exception (the common class.cpp one) regardless of what game I play. I've always had that problem with 1.7 though, so when I was having that problem, I switched to 1.6 which worked for awhile, but now... this is happening.
I tried using Glide64 Napalm WX, which gets further (starts to load the textures), but of course it crashes before it's finished loading all the textures (as it always did for me). Napalm 1.2 doesn't work, either. Rice's video works, but rice's video has really shitty FB emulation, and hitches when the sky textures change. I really just want to play OOT again flawlessly like it used to with HiRes textures..
Nothing is different (as far as I know), other than my virus scanner (which is now AVG) but even then, I disable the resident shield to see if that helped but it didn't, so I'm completely at a loss of what to do.
It also doesn't work with any game. It even fails (same problem) with games that don't have a hi res texture directory, so long as the option is enabled, the problem persists.
Additionally, I've tried doing a fresh emulator/plugin install on a completely different computer, and the same thing happens.
The only thing I can figure at this point, is that somebody cast some magic spell that disables GlideHQ's functionality, for everyone!
I gladly welcome any help from you nice folks.
