I'm new to this type of thing and have basically been teaching myself using youtube and by reading forums. I havnt had the need to ask any questions until now, because everything was already online. I have been using spinout's porter to add MM levels to the game. I have encorperated them into the game by adding actors and changing exits using ZAP2 and ZLE2. I will eventually use a hex editor to change the diologue to fit my modified story.
It is here that I am stuck. I managed to connect the new maps to each other as well as the actual OOT map. The problem here is that on all of the imported maps I come out in the same spot. My question here i guess is How do I add entrances to maps if at all possible?
Another problem I am having is the missing textures from the MM maps. I don't even know where to start with this one.
Lastly I have Utility of Time and have been messing around with it. I can use it fine as it is pretty simple, but I cannot locate my imported maps. I can dump them with ZLE2 and edit them fine, but then I do not know how to add them back to my rom.
Sorry for the multiple questions but any help anyone can give on either would be cool. Thanks.

hmmm... I've also been wondering about adding/removing exits. oh, dude, if you're making a mod, you should make a topic for it in the mods section.

Yeah I plan on posting it eventually, but i wanted to at least get a solid base first and start editing the text a bit. If I can fix some of these issues then I will start posting.

Link's starting position is defined by an actor in the scene header, which you will need to edit in Hex if you're using ZAP(2)/ZLE(2). It has the same format as other actors, the actor number (in this case 0001) followed by the xyz position and xyz rotation, and the last digits are the variable.

Ok, so this would allow me to change the starting position, but could I add other starting positions by doing the same thing? I am curious because I want different exits from other maps to start me in different positions on my imported ones.

Thanks, that should be a big help with the exits. I was using exit changer.exe and i think it may have been simplifying the whole thing, but not giving me as much control.
As for the textures, I am assuming that MM got some of its textures from a different place than the actual scene, causing the loss of some when the scene got ported. If this is the case, would it be possible to load the textures externally, similar to the hi res textures?
