1. export to obj, with the setting transform to triangles 2. Get python 2.6 3. Drop the obj and the rom in the python instalation folder 4. Run the objecttoarea 5. Follow the instructions 6. Done. Try the map with nemu 0.8. If link appears out of bounds just levitate. You can edit link start position with zappy (and UoT?)

WBFS manager? Hello fellow Wii softmodder xD Please see my guide hereI suggest sketchup because everything else ruins polyons. Every 3D editor I have seen SMOOTHs out the polygons, to make it look better. Normally this would be a good thing, however, smoothing it makes every polygon into 3or4. So the polygon number would increase, alot. and oot being the old game it is, cant support complex objects with a bundle of polygons. so sadly, I dont think that model would work. But i wont help you on 3Ds max lol. Sorry. I have only got sketchup models to work. Sketchup doesnt 'smooth out' the polygons.

Do you have sketchup pro? Sketchup can export straight to OBJ, works best imo.

OH, and if for some weird reason you STILL dont have the obj exporter, let me know. I sent someone else the sketchup but for some reason they didnt have the exporter, even though they should've =\
It should be under pluginis/OBJ exporter
OH, and a tip for you. When exporting objects, click on Show Console. When your obj is exporting, if it takes any longer then 10 seconds, I can almost guarantee you the obj wont work in OOT.

I have a feeling there's a lot of wii softmodders here. Trust a guy who's been doing it since the beginning. Back on Topic- I'd like to get into this, but I'm confused on how I'd be able to add textures to a custom map.

In sketchup File > Import (Make sure to tick the Use As Texture on the right) Then click your image and drag and drop it over something.
Make sure your texture, when you import it, is jpg and png, and is 32x32. You can stretch it over a object though if you want. as long as the actural file is 32x32 Then just import it following my guide. Should work..kinda fine.. Textures like to fuck up alot.
