from wavefront .obj files, .3ds files, or collada .dae files, lower poly the better.
programs needed: 1. a program that import/exports 3d models, sketchup 7.1 aint supported. any earlier version of sketchup is.
the only version of sketchup 7(not 7.1) that is available is pro, PM me and i'll fix that problem.
3. pepakura designer 3 imports & unfolds the models, you can scale it any size you want, but you can't save pepakura files, because it's the trial.
you can only import & print, so rig the textures in sketchup or something.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. make/download a model of your choice, if it uses solid colors, try your best to replace them with textures, unless you got 3ds max or something, solid colors from sketchup will be saved as black. 2. once you have the model fixed up, export it, as any format of your choice, just as long as it's the formats i mentioned above. 3. open pepakura, and go file>open, and find your model. then find the unfold button to unfold it. 4. adjust the scale and arrangement, bigger is better for making models, but it uses paper. 5. print it! 6. make it real
