In my opinion, the only weak title that came out was Twilight Princess, which takes away all the good of The Wind Waker in an attempt to recreate Ocarina of Time. (It is not a bad game, actually. But all is too... Dejà vù.) Anyway, seeing what they did with the two latest titles (Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks) I am very confident in this one.

zelda+trains=phail.
phantom hour glass is just a 3d version of those gba games. phantom hourglass was pretty interesting.
the main thing i liked in TP was how ganon looked.
but nothing there seemed "truly" evil looking.

So are you saying Zelda and boats are much better? Its the same principle. I like the way they are going, Spirit Tracks was quite an enjoyable game, then again I think all Zelda games are enjoyable. In terms of games I actually have on the consoles regarding replay value I have: Ocarina of Time: Definitely has replay value, is enjoyable from start to finish (including Water Temple). Storyline was spot on seeing as it is the best so far, gameplay was (and still is) superb. Majora's Mask: Has the replay value right on the spot, but then again the temples can be re-beaten and bosses are always there, replay value on any save file? Sweet. Storyline is great and works as quite a good sequel to OOT, gameplay was epic with transformation masks. Wind Waker: Truth be told, I enjoyed this game very much, I am not one to be picky about the cel shading, storyline was spot on which I loved getting the references right and gameplay was awesome, the great sea was good to explore and get all islands mapped, still love this game. Twilight Princess: Well even though this is sort of a continuation/remake of OOT the storyline was not so great, but for me, if I never see direct references in a Zelda game I don't put things in a timeline, its a bloody separate game imo. Great graphic enhancements, great controls (Gamecube), fairly interesting try at making motion controls (Wii). Great gameplay, great dungeons, great Hyrule field, great great. I loved this game, and I don't see why people judge this game as a poor game because its storyline does not fit anywhere in particular. And as an example. Minish Cap: Great game on first run, yet has little replay value, good GBA title but was not as enjoyable as one would hope. DS Titles: Both are great, on second playthrough of each. They are kinda funky to control when you start but on the last boss you realize, DAMN I'm good at this! Story lines are spot on, and I see them as a continuation to OOT (even with hardly any references) because WW fit on from OOT storyline perfectly and PH from WW, ST has many references to WW and PH which makes one smile. SPOILERS You even get Links shield from PH from Niko, and you also get your Engineer uniform back, hell yeah. SPOILERS ENDZelda Wii: Went for a trip to the future. This game is great, Link is related to a Zora and marries the Master Sword, because of this he gets an EXP bonus for fighting alongside his spouse, when his level is over 9000 he can ask the Triforce for a condo on the beach. You get a nice cinema sequence and as a bonus, Ganondorf dances with The Village People to Macho Man. The last boss is you toilet on level 5 of Hyrule Castle, it has not been cleaned in years and the bravest of soldiers have never returned. Also Epona is a Dinosaur. Zelda in the Future: Link grows a tail, thats all I know, I didn't go far enough in the future to find out. Sorry guys Main point is, why judge games because they don't fit in a timeline, why not just play them and enjoy them as they are, after all, Shigeru Miyamoto was high when he decided to forget about a timeline, why not take his example?* * WARNING DRUGS ARE BAD, DON'T DO IT WARNINGThis has been a message from some legal company that confiscated my weed.

well, true, but trains just don't fit, in the other zelda games it seems like everything is 200 years before they were even invented.

In my opinion, the train was a great enhancement. I found the whole Spirit Tracks an awesome game, full of great ideas, and the train does not seem out of place at all.
Btw, IvanX, I had a flash-forward that showed me that Link's tail is due to his fusion with Fox Mc Cloud.

Damnit Nintendo! Why must you involve Fox with dimensional travel?
The trains were great, trains are quite old if you think about it and a lot of in game technology (Linebeck's boat) are advanced for some things, think of all the bloody robots he has faced.

Well considering that the time is approx:
OOT > WW = 500-1000 years WW > PH is directly after PH > ST = 100 years
Thats around 1100 years more advanced technology that OOT, I can see how that works.

true, but the entire series seems just a lil bit before trains were invented. Besides, considering all the whacky stuff in Zelda games, you can't believe it's the right time period for trains?

WTF, you guys are debating without me.
I personally think Zelda is heading into a steampunk-esque world, and frankly if it did, that would be utterly badass. I can also see how Bobbo sees a train as out of place in 'ST', the worldscape is a bit towards late medieval/early Renaissance architecture where a train is a bit more 1800s. It like a lightsaber in pokemon, you know someone was messing with weed at the time.
Regardless, I think the next Zelda game will be a twilight princess based game, most likely X amount of years into the series.
Also, The 'gba' was a gay little device link used to call tingle. The tingle tuner i think.

true, but the entire series seems just a lil bit before trains were invented. Yeah, I am pretty sure that before inventing trains, they had made talking mailboxes. Come on, people, Zelda's landscape is too peculiar to say what should exist and what not. Besides, hundreds of years pass between OoT and ST, so it is natural that the technology is more advanced.

I never really liked toon link either, it's like, wasteing time, and making everything child friendly.
I want new zelda wii to be rate M, and to have it really dark and evil, not TP, where everything has an evil face, and a crappy looking body

One point I should point out to bobbo, sorry for not mentioning about this before. The train is integrated well in the story, from the look of it they just stuck a train in a zelda game, like a train in OOT WOULD look out of place, for those who have played the game, the train does not seem too out of place, I see where you are coming from bobbo and I do agree to some extents, but Spirit Tracks is pretty kickass.
Also GTFO Tingle Tuner, costs a fortune to use and Tingle ends up killing you.
