Ok, so people wanted to know how I make my graphics. In this thread I will tell you basically everything I do.
So, where to start?
Program. The program I use is Adobe Photoshop 7.0, so any version newer than that should still have everything I use in it.
Let's take an example graphic to talk about.
Well, first thing I did was the text.
How to do text like this:
1. Type in the text you want.
2. Double click the text layer at the bottom right of the screen
3. Set it to colour overlay, and select a colour you want.
4. Set it to stroke, and select the colour and thickness you want.
5. Set it to drop shadow and select how big and far the shadow is.
6. Set it to bevel and emboss, and change the gloss contour to whatever you like best (I used sawtooth 1).
7. Set it to texture, and again to which one you think looks best, though this one isn't necessary.
Well that's how I did the text in this picture, now try it yourself. Just play around with the effcts until you get it looking cool.
To get the shapes on the Z, all I did was use the custom shape tool and draw them on. Then I applied effects like I did to the text. The yellow part behind the text was done in exactly the same way.
How I did the castle:
1. Got a castle image from the internet.
2. Opened it in Photoshop, and dragged onto my logo.
3. Found out it was too small, but that won't matter yet, first I had to get rid of the background.
4. Use eraser to get rid of the background, the magic wand tool is good too.
5. Now I had it how I wanted, I resized the image to the right size.
6. Don't worry about pixellation, use filter > sharpen.
7. Now use filter > dry brush and set it to how you want it to look.
Background:
1. Easy this one is. Select the paintbrush, doesn't matter about colours right now.
2. Draw random lines.
3. Select filter > liquify and mess around with it to make the lines look like a cool pattern.
4. Double click the layer and apply effects to it to make it look as good as the rest of the image.
And that's all I did for that image. Simple, no?
So to make cool looking graphics, just play around with the effects and filters, and you can do just about anything.
I also like to use image > adjustments >brightness/contrast, and
image > adjustments > hue/saturation (ctrl+U).
Have fun with theseskillz things I have just taught you! ;D
