I've talked to a friend and he said it's probably not possible, I still dunno, but what I'm working on currently, or rather....trying to find out how to do, is rip gamecube instruments, so I can work on getting instruments or samples from dragon ball z budokai or budokai 2, I have been wanting to find these, or just get them somehow for YEARS, ever since I heard the game, and even more so when I found out about soundfonts back in 2015. so if anyone could either get these or help me get started I would Absolutely LOVE that, please help me out, this isn't just for me, but to other dbz fans, as this could be the closest thing to an actual "Dragon Ball Z" soundfont we may ever get that sounds as close to the show as possible. And for anyone who doesn't know of this game, here is a link www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZZeOh2DL7M&index=7&list=PLC61CBD3C0E2463A0 The game is for gamecube and Ps2, so I can assume a soundfont/samples are 100% Possible since there are already ones for starfox assault, and super mario sunshine, and even super mario galaxy PLEASE PLEASE help.

I checked on musial artifacts and it appears that mr sanic (who made the sonic 3 soundfont) also made ones for smw (different from blits lunar's soundfont) and sonic 2, as well as an NES soundfont.

zed, I believe that the dbz butikai games used prerecorded music, so a soundfont of that game is probably not going to happen. however it may be possible to do a soundfont of the older (8 and 16 bit, and GBA) games, apearently a snes DBZ one exists but I don't know where to download it, also if anyone could make a ps1 general midi soundfont (where all samples are from ps1 games) that would be cool as well.

I'm not sure if anyone has made a universal soundfont of sorts consisting of Rare's video games but that actually is a neat idea, would be nice to have something with all of Donkey Kong and Banjo Kazooie samples combined into one perhaps. As for a PS1 soundfont I did start making one of my own back in 2015 using samples from Blaster Master Blasting Again (a PS1 game) I doubt if it'll be useful to anyone but I named it PSFont www.dropbox.com/s/bp95amburg54esp/PSFont.sf2?dl=0.

thanks for adding the luigi's mancian soundfont! did preliminary work on a Sateliview soundfomt. the sf was ripped from an instrument test spc ripped from the bios using vgmtrans. when I post it here I would encourage people to help reorginise it (renaming instruments, renumbering to gm standard, adding a gm drumkit).

I can try to do something with this idea, I started a DK64 soundfont on an older machine last year. My bet is that Donkey Kong and Banjo Kazooie will share many of the same instruments. Some of these have already been ripped, so some of this project would involve collecting existing content and arranging them by game into a comprehensive Rare Ltd. soundfont. It would be cool to have all of these in one workhorse soundfont. Tell me what you think of this: Rare Ltd. Retrospective Soundfont
A complete collection of the instruments and effects from some of the best Rare games, including: StarFox Adventures ( GameCube) Donkey Kong 64 ( Nintendo 64) Donkey Kong Country ( Super Nintendo) Diddy Kong Racing ( Nintendo 64) Conker's Bad Fur Day ( Nintendo 64) Banjo Kazooie ( Nintendo 64) Banjo Tooie ( Nintendo 64) GoldenEye 007 ( Nintendo 64) Perfect Dark ( Nintendo 64) Jet Force Gemini ( Nintendo 64) Battletoads ( NES) (Personally I'd be happy to add Yooka Laylee for the Nintendo Switch to this list if it turns out it has instruments/effects that can be ripped [Playtonic are awesome]. I'd throw in JonTron's removed voice effects as a bonus).

For DKC it's easy to rip the samples and even the midis now using the latest version of VGMTrans, I dunno about NES though but the N64 Sound Tool should help with ripping the rest plus you pretty much have the StarFox Adventures soundfont complete which you worked on right? Well I haven't played Yooka Laylee or listened to the soundtrack before, Switch music is being actively ripped I heard though so perhaps a sample rip from it or the Windows version could turn up one day I can't say for certain but I think this is a cool idea overall. Good luck! Speaking of N64 games, lately I've been considering whether or not if I should create my own Glover 64 soundfont with only updated instruments since I have worked extensively on remastering the soundtrack using more modern day samples. You guys can check out my work on my soundcloud or youtube channel, you know where to find me.

Same here! I just realized we need a Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge soundfont since the official midi rip has been out for a couple years now, I'll update the VGM Midi Archive with a download link if I haven't already.

Also if banjo pilat, BJKR and the dkc ports for GBA could be ripped, I'll die a happy man. and you could throw in the sf of It's Mr. Pants as a bonus, since that was almost a rare game (and a DK spin off at that!)
