Yeah, I know about grass, sand, wood, ect, and ice (sorta) but lava, water & ice are the trickiest. I was, actually wondering how the lava death timer works. Does that activate automatically if there's volcano lava on the map, or is it some sort of map value? No, because as DeathBasket said, the lava works the same as "bottomless" pits Link falls into and respawns from, losing a heart. Collision can't do much except affect actors in some way when they intersect, as one might presume from the concept's name. At any rate, I believe the timer is loaded and handled by an actor, whose information is as follows: 0187 0001 Timer xxxx - Affects the decimal value displayed in the timer - 0000 = Continuously resets Link’s position (if you use NOCLIP and then release Link, it’ll play the reset sound and the puzzle solved sound simultaneously, and no further resets will occur) - FFFF = Timer not displayed, puzzle solved sound plays immediately I'm not exactly sure if that's what you're looking for or if that will work the same way, but it's worth a shot. Failing that, look around Death Mountain Crater's map and see if you can find an actor that looks promising--worst case scenario, do some guess and check loading random actors from that map until you get it right. Or, I'm entirely wrong and you end up wasting your time. Incidentally, while I'm at it, theres no program that complicated yet One's called a hex editor, the other a compiler.
