Hey guys! ;D How do I calculate the width & highth of a Zelda door? If you know what it is that'd help, but I could prolly find that out with UoT. Next, how do I make that space in sketchup, because I don't see a x/y axis or width/highth display in there?

A normal sized door in OOT/MM is 100 units tall and 60 units wide. As to how you work out how big things are in SketchUp, I don't really know since I don't use it for modelmaking.

The width/height display in SketchUp is in the bottom-right part of the screen, which gives measurements on the object you are currently modifying (or the length of the line when using the ruler tool). For all the doorways I've made, I push a rectangle onto a plane, where the rectangle's dimensions are 6 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide. It's a bit inaccurate from Arcaith's ratio of 10:6, but serviceable enough.

I'm still making the dungeon in sketchup, but when I finish, at what point do I worry about putting in water, lava, ice, ect? I don't know how to do any of that.

Collision editing via UoT. Or the "match collision to graphics" option incase you're using the actual texture of the lava. This can also be done with ZLE2

Yeah I actually wondering just a tiny thing.... How Do You Make Lava!? Not like dodongo cavern laval... like the lava in the volcano! That's actually just a moving/changing texture with a 'death floor' collision plane a little below it. I don't know how to reproduce this (the texture effect) but I know it's being worked on.

Yeah, animated textures in custom maps aren't yet supported, but with Zeth's success on getting animated textures working for imports from Majora's Mask, I think we may see such support rather soon. As for getting lava or ice, that's done by collision editing. Apart from the kind in the crater, you can simply change the collision type to reflect Link's footsteps walking on dirt, grass, sand, stone, shallow or deep water, bushes, flesh, ice, or lava (shallow and deep water typically isn't necessary because waterboxes already affect Link's footsteps correctly). To get water in your map, though, is a little different--you need to add those upon importing your custom map using spinout's converter, and you can adjust their size and position using Zappy, another program written by spinout. Just remember to include the water graphics on your map mesh beforehand, because waterboxes only have collision data, not graphics.

Yeah, I know about grass, sand, wood, ect, and ice (sorta) but lava, water & ice are the trickiest. I was, actually wondering how the lava death timer works. Does that activate automatically if there's volcano lava on the map, or is it some sort of map value?

Thanks! I know this isn't exactly the topic to say this but it's a Christmas mod, different storyline, textures, text, dungeons, the works! Well, I don't know how do dungeons right yet, which is why I made this topic! ;D lol It's planned release is the Christmas of 2011. A whole year. It will be completed, unless, of coarse, my partner in this mod choses to drop out. That may delay thing. Wait, what was this topic about again??? OH, YES! custom dungeons!!! ;D
