What emulator and what video plugin are you using? Also are you running Windows Vista?

Are you dumping the files for a texture replacement, or are you doing so to use them in a custom map? If it's the latter, you can use UoT or OZMAV2 for that. You can set UoT to autodump the texture files to a defined folder as each map or object is loaded, and when you dump a map to obj with OZMAV2, it also dumps the textures.

I think this has nothing to do with hacking. I still need to know if this is a plugin related issue so I can move this to an appropriate board and sort the problem out, I had a similar problem when running Vista.

Ok, moving the topic to the Re-Texturing board, then onto the problem.
I had the same problem, you dump the textures and it confirms it, but nothing is in the 'texture_dump' folder correct? Go to where you installed PJ64 (which I assume you are using) and move the whole folder into your "Documents" folder, play the game again and check "dump textures to file". The textures should now be in their correct folder.

Anytime, although there will be more textures if you click it beforehand and leave it on while you play.

No no, put your PJ64 folder into your documents, the whole thing not just subfolders.
