In Zelda OoT, how do you edit doors as in if u in a temple and encounter a locked door, how do you edit/change it so it can be an unlocked door or the wooden/metal slide up/down door?

Doors are largely the same as any normal actor, but fall into a special category known as transition actors. These can be either a door or a black plane, but they all have the same function. When activated or crossed, this will a new room to be loaded in the current map, along with all the actors in that room. I believe a variable controls what kind of door it is, so if you know how to modify actor variables, it should be the exact same process.

How do you modify it, I tried ZAP2 and still failed, IDK how to use the zmap / zscene after I edited it on UoT

I don't think ZAP2 can precisely modify transition actors. When you load up a zmap and zscene in UoT and make your edits, just save the changes, then save the modified map to the ROM using insert.exe. UoT's save to ROM feature is pretty terrible and usually mucks up the maps in some way, so I strongly recommend you use this program, as it uses a more precise saving routine which causes less glitches and errors.

Don't Double Post unless absolutely necessary. On topic, you could also use ZAPPY to edit transition actors and not to mention waterboxes. They only thing is that UoT is faster at changing numerical data like the variable, object and actor number. BUT utility of time is extremely buggy

Just edit insert.bat to include the fields detailed in the usage file.

Open up notepad and just put this in except fill in the information where the bracket marks are:
insert.exe <location of file to insert to> <location of file to insert> <beginning offset to insert file, include 0x prefix> <ending offset to insert file, include 0x prefix>
then "save as" and click the drop down list where it says "Save as type:" and choose "All files" then name it "insert.bat" and click save
Example shown in the BAT file thats been unmodified:
insert.exe C:\Mountain.z64 C:\spot16_scene.zmap 0x2A3B000 0x2A59A90
do you need help finding the offsets?
