So..i have been able to extract models from Zelda Ocarina of Time and gotten them into 3ds max.....but i can't seem to get the textures to go onto the model(s). When I extracted the models, the application (can't remember what it is called right now) gave me two files: a .obj and a .mtl file. Both of these a usable in 3ds max....but when i import it into 3ds max (both files)...nothing seems to happen. When i say nothing seems to happen i mean that the model file works....but not the texture file (the .mtl file). Heres what i did: I imported thew .obj file into 3ds max, and when it gave me the option to insert a .mtl file when importing the .obj file, I linked the .mtl file to the .obj file. After that not working i then tried to import the .mtl file straight into 3ds max (with the model already imported)....and that did not work either.
What do i do? Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue?
Thanks

Do textures export? The .mtl file is made just for pointing to the textures used in the model. If you don't have the textures used by the .mtl file in the directories and exact locations that the .mtl file states, your imports will be texture-less.

Yes, but did you export the textures as well? Without them, the mtl file is useless. Also, what do you mean, "nothing happens"?
