Hello. i have UoT and I've figured out how to change actors. however, each time i change an actor to something else (like a kokiri girl sitting to a stalfoe) and inject it when i start project 64 and enter the map that i changed the actor in the emulator stops working. any ideas?
Sorry if i double posted i searched for a solution on glitchkill, but couldn't find one....

unfortunately I've already tried that, but even if it says that the actor was changed from saria to a stalfoe when i enter the forest the game freezes. (i did everything that i saw in a tutorial on youtube.)

It might be because you changed Sarias group. If I remember correctly that group doesn't like to be changed. If it happens in all areas... I'm not sure why.

i tried a different area (old test room) and switched dark link for the stalfoe but instead of freezing this time it just said that the actor was switched to the stalfoe but once you play the rom dark link still apears instead of the stalfoe.

Was that group set correctly? Dark Link's group is 0032; make sure to set that correctly. Also, did you save to the right offset in the ROM, and are you loading the same ROM you edited?

i know that the group was set correctly and that i open the same ROM that i edited, but I'm not completely sure what you mean by offset in the ROM.... is that where the code is injected into the rom?

I figured out what was wrong... turns out the ROM just didn't like the actors that i was trying to change (I tried changing actors at kakariko village and it worked).
Thank you for your help and suggestions!

Indeed. Many times, actors just plain won't load on certain maps, as they're missing crucial information needed to load from a particular map.
