My issue is this: I use UoT for simple actor/map editing and lately I have this issue where after I add one map, no matter what map/scene i inject after that, they never work. I have tried diff maps/roms/manually inserting at offsets/ patched or unpatched/byteswapped and non and nothing works. It doesnt matter what map i try to insert, the second map on always fails (by fail i mean FPS drops to 0 after a second or 2). I have even tried to simply move a single vertex one on any axis. Still fails. I have tried 3 diff versions of UoT from spinout's site. Any ideas?

There was a glitch in a few versions of UoT that swapped Actor's Variables with their Groups. Check to see if that's the problem.

Interesting, I wonder how that bug was inserted into newer versions when it wasnt in older ones. Suppose it isnt important. Thanks Despair, I will try an older verion.

As far as I know, Cool was adding some changes to vertex editing and the like. Chances are the code just got scrambled a little.

The latest one that works is .90 early beta. I was wondering if the error is made on insertion or in the save? If it is insertion, I can insert it via romput. But if the error is in saving, then i would be screwed. I was hoping to be able to use the latest UoT as it is much easier to use.
EDIT: after some tinkering, it appears that it is in the saving. But I still dont get it, how would the first map always WORK and the second map always FAIL? If the code corrupts maps/scenes on saving, wouldnt it always do so for all maps?

As far as I know, it doesn't corrupt the map. It just merely swaps an actor's variable with it's group (specifically, any actor that you modify, or click on, yourself). The only one to run into this error was myself during my actor mapping of the spirit temple. It swapped one of the sun block's variables with it's group, regardless of how many times i changed it. Cool fixed it and upped a new UoT and using that i reswapped the numbers and fixed it.
As to why the 2nd map onward, I honestly do not know. But webpages.charter.net/cooliscool/UoT_0.90b4.rar that version of UoT should work fine. I haven't tested it myself because I don't really have any reason to hack or modify actor lists anymore but I haven't heard any complaints from the others who use it so I would judge it as safe.
