Hello all, I would first like to say thanks to Zeth for his FD and OoT texture packs. That being said I have had very good success with actor placement and level editing with UoT but have come across a brick wall I cannot seem to break. I am wondering how to add more actors and/or groups than a room allows. It is my understanding that you cant add more info than already exists in a rom. I have googled and youtubed this and cant seem to find an answer. If possible, I am hoping for something I can do that will be a perminant fix (not just codes). Thanks in advance.

Well, it's totally possible, and not too hard to do, but there is very limited space for adding more actors to a map, unless of course you move that map to the end of the ROM, into empty space. I'd recommend moving it to something like 3603000 or higher. I don't have much time to explain, so I'll just say it briefly. You have to go to the bottom of your map file and add in as many lines (10 Hex) as you want actors, and write down the offset that you started adding them at (from the start of the map file). Now at the top of the Map file, look for 01 xx 00 00 bb yy yy yy Change xx to the number of actors you added (make sure it's in hex!) and change yy yy yy to the offset you added them at. Now open in UoT and edit. Moving the map to the end of the ROM is basically the same as porting, make sure you know the new start and end offsets of the map, and then change the pointers in the scene file. Check my tutorial on porting maps for more information. More information on adding actors: spinout182.com/aadd.htm

Excellent thanks DeathBasket, but I am having a hard time finding your map porting tutorial. Is it in the hacking forum?
