Ive seen Some Vids, And i see them in Terrible Quality, So i feel like you guys need to be Tought The way i use! With both Hypercam And Fraps!
Wel, Fraps Does Most of the work for you, Just Install it and Record, Since the Defult FPS is 30, which is Smooth enough,
With Hypercam! Now thats a Bit Harder, You gotta Edit some of the Settings, ill give you a List of the Best that i use:
in the FPS Section Put)) Record: 30 Playback: 30 leave the 1 Capture per Each Frame And Leave the Key Frame at 100 Leave it on a automatic Compresser And Make the Frame Compression Quality 85-100%
for Sound, You make sure the box is Ticked, and in the Sound Tab, under Sample Size, Put it on 16-Bit and Sample rate 44100 Sp/s
After all of the Hypercam has been Edited, You can Begin to Record, But if you Press Record, it will say, the FPS is Too Much! but dont even Listen to that, Just Click ok and Press Record again, this Second time it Should Work, if it doesnt Then your Computer is Too Shitty. try a Lower FPS then.
the differences are Mainly Fraps Takes Up a Bit more Processer k. while Hypercam stays Really Low. I wont Really add other Recording devices since These are the current 2 Best. all others are pointless.

Shoot, I just (independantly) figured this out a couple days ago, and for months I've already hundreds of of crappy 10FPS hypercam videos to the web. Oh well, what can you do.
Anyways, here's something you can also do to improve the quality: before using hypercam set up some sort of independant audio recorder application to record the audio since 16 bit audio really sucks.

I use Camstudio. It's freeware and good quality depends on your computer's compressor. The default one is Microsoft 5 and it requires a really fast computer if you want quality out of that. It best that you choose the one your computer has. There are options to choose your size though try to not to get full screen on a resolution that is in the 1000's (unless you really have a fast computer.) Once you push the recorder button or the shortcut, it has you choose where on the screen you want to record. My computer's sound card doesn't support the speaker sound recording unfortunately so I can't say much about that... I just use the emulator's sound recording... it works pretty well. And by fast computer... I would recommend about 1 GB of RAM or more and it shows it's potential around that speed. If you don't know your compressor then just record with each of them and see which one works the best. I assume if you can play the N64 emu you have the correct processor and video card... this program doesn't ask any more then an emu. The movies from this can be easily edited and aligned with sound...
