Reason I didn't upload any snes (except for one) or gba midi rips is because they're so easy to get now with nintspc and gbamusriper, plus most of the quality is exceptionally bad than the n64, gamecube, ds and wii which have better standard midis (at least from my experience) but if anyone wants to share any midi rips from video games to the thread go right ahead.

I was surprised to see a midi rip of triforce heros since nearly all 3ds games used streamed music and if the lack of a pokemon x/y midi rip is any indecation sequenced music is becoming an endangered species.

Hi. I made an account specifically to ask what the (four letter word) were you guys thinking when making those (ahem) midis? It's equal to monkeys on keyboards doing it. What happened here? If you want actual midis go to vgmusic dot com and then see the differences. I will refrain from saying anymore as I'm not sure how this site handles a bit of criticism. I don't want anyone throwing monkey poo in my face so what the hell went wrong here? Is it the person or sequencer used? If so what was the sequencer? More information is needed for people who stumble upon this as they will assume all midi sounds like this when in fact that's not the case.

Where can I find MIDI for Kirby Mass Attack? I see there's a SoundFont rip in the forum for it, but no MIDI here...

The MIDIs sound like this because they're direct file rips of the songs as they were created for the game. Oftentimes, the composers for these tracks create soundbanks that don't conform to GM (General MIDI) standards. Thus, the instruments that make up the MIDI may have different counterparts in the soundbank created for the game than a run of the mill GM soundbank. Rip any MIDI and soundfont from, say a DS game using VGMTrans and you'll see just what I mean.
