yup. installing ubuntu.
mainly cuz tf2 has been ported over and im tired of windows crashing when the recommended system requirements say it needs 1 gig of ram and i have 2.
that and ubuntu is more stable. than pissta. i mean shitsa. i mean vista.
gonna dual boot it because i still need windows.

then why did you tell me to download it.
and I keep it more because everybody makes everything for windows.
never heard someone say "boy, i wish they made that for linux!" except nerds.

but nobody makes anything for linux.
but valve.
anything not made by valve for linux is on sourceforge. and is terrible.

pcsx-r is on PC too.
and no it isn't. the market is just more linux friendly now.
most games for linux are ports of windows programs.(i've looked, wine doesn't count)

Hurrr... mupen64plus, far superior to pj64 - linux emu BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!! AHAHAA!! OMFG LOL!!! ROFL!!! Mupen64plus is the hair in the dried dingleberry on the leaf in the ass of a roadkill skunk inside the ass of another skunk inside the ass of a coyote with aids inside the ass of a bear with hemorrhoids. I don't know which is funnier, the fact that you think it's the best emulator or the fact you even consider it an emulator when every other emulator in existence (ie. 1964, Nemu, Daedalus, and PJ64) blow it out of the water. Um...google chrome is on everything. Mac, Linux, Windows, even Androids. ...nawp There are very few companies doing this, and generally it is exaggerated by Linux users. Most of it's hear-say, or just a single ported game. The only reason that these companies are targeting linux is because studies show that most Linux users are using either Ubuntu/XUbuntu or SUSE rather than 50-60 different distros, with a strong preference towards the later. This is why Oracle and Microsoft have dropped support for debian packages and only release red hat packages (topic of discussion being Java and Skype) EDIT: Rereading this, I notice it sounds a bit harsh. I just wanted to point out that I was meaning to ridicule Mupen64, not you, so sorry if I offended you. Also, despite my aggression toward linux software, I don't hate linux. I feel that linux distros are intuitive, creative, and intelligent in many ways. I even tri-boot with Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, and Windows 7. Still, I can't help but laugh about all the linux users thinking linux is superior because 2 or 3 companies decided to make linux ports of software they've already had for windows for years. \

And for PJ64 vs. mupen64plus PJ64 loses *doing an out of the box comparison* And a pirated 1.7 doesn't count so stfu. 1.7 is optionally pirated. It's also released to donators, and out of the box comes with the best n64 graphics, audio, and input plugins available. Plus, even without those plugins, it still outperforms Mupen in terms of stability, performance, and compatibility. 1964 and Nemu64 also outperform Mupen64. The only thing Mupen has going for it is better Kaillera support, which is actually tied with (if not surpased by) PJ64K's Kaillera support, and 1994 coming in third just behind those two.

dude 1.6 outperforms mupen64.
the only thing you have to change is the video plugin to glide64

PJ64 might outperform mupen64, but not mupen64plus. Coming from someone who's tried both on Ubuntu and Windows, yes it does. Besides, one of the DEFAULT plugins for mupen64plus is glide64. the best graphics plugin... EVAR Firstly, Glide64 was not made specifically for mupen64plus. It was a completely different project and literally any emulator (1964, Nemu64, Daedalus, etc.) can use it. In fact, PJ64 1.7.0.5 comes with it too. Secondly, Jabo's D3D8 is far less buggy than Glide64 (though it doesn't load custom textures) I call bullshit. PJ64 has the best compatibility and stability of any n64 emulator currently available. Umm...no? I don't care for it myself, but you can set breakpoints in 1964 and PJ64 as well. Nothing special. PJ64 1.7 Instructions: Preparation (only need to do this once) 1. Options->Settings->Options->[uncheck]Hide Advanced Settings 2. Options->Settings->Advanced->[check]Enable Debugger
Doit 1. Debugger->Breakpoint...
You don't even need to set an address or anything. Breakpoint refreshes the entire dynarec (which is actually a smarter idea than a partial recomp in my opinion)
LOL. Dude, where do you get your info? 1964 is buggy as hell (though not as much as Mupen) The only perks of 1964 are that it has the fastest dynarec out of all the emulators which gives it a high -performance and that it's open source.

As I said. OOTB. At least as far as my comparisons go. Also pirated emulators don't fucking count. Only 100% legit copies count, and you didn't donate. Anywhore as I said, it is really a matter of opinions. My opinion is that pj64 1.6 is inferior to mupen64plus. PJ64 1.6 and PJ64 1.7 OOTB are better than Mupen64Plus There's no such thing as a pirated PJ64. 1.6 is released to everyone 1.7 is released (for free) to members of the site 1.7.0.50 is released to members who make a $20 donation, and there's hardly any difference from 1.7 aside from the extra plugins that come with it and a few patches made for some hardware heavy games to run better And actually, 1.7 will soon be outdated. The development team has recently made a return (after 1-3 years i think?) and have been working on an alpha 2.0.0.2

why on earth did you mention the emulator with the worst compatiblity on the planet, duuthbuskut?
@andreawws, the only time i've ever seen mupen64plus do any good was on the emulator for wii called "Not64"
