I pretty sure that's possible. Replacing the axe would be easy, and I think there's an animation editor somewhere.
(btw, my first Zelda was the original, then AoL, then OoT)

Here's another idea for the project. We all know that after Oot Link then ended up in MM. Well what if Link instead decided to stay at hyrule and grow up there. It sounds a little bit like Zelda's birthday but intead Link is actully liveing his childhood and gaining strength to defeat Ganondorf. That would mean adding cutsceans, more open land to hyrule, adding new characters, and changeing of events on certain days kinda like MM.

I don't even think anybody wants to do this. Anytime I've brought this up on skype with them, they just screw around, make jokes about it, and change the subject.

Oh. Ok. I hope people will agree with the project because it could be awesome! I would like to see this mod. Well, lets try this one more time. - What rom will we be modding? OoT DBG, OoT 1.0 (U) or MM (U)?
- Where will the setting of the game take place? Hyrule, Termina, and entirely new world?
- Who or what is the threat? Ganondorf, Majora, Vaati, someone entirely new, an environmental effect not associated with a particular person at all?
- Who will the main character be? Link, Dark Link, Zelda / Shiek, Ralph (OoA), Kafei, Saria, etc.?
- Who will be helping the main character on their journey? A fairy (Navi, Tatl, new?), Dark Link, Midna, someone entirely new?
- How many dungeons will there be, and what are their locations / themes?
- What is the task at hand? Eg. for what reason is main character conquering these dungeons?
- What is the reward for the completing this journey?
Just some questions to get us started. Here's my suggestions: - MM (U) - I haven't worked with it much, but the engine is better, and the transformations would add to the gameplay.
- The Lost Woods - Yep, and entire world in the woods. It's how Link left Hyrule and how he got to Termina, who knows how many other places it's connected to? Perhaps, the woods itself is a gap between dimensions?
- Majora's Mask - Yeah, it was defeated before, but what if it was faking it's death to live another day?
- Saria - Cmon, give her some love? She was Link's childhood friend, and the sage of the forest. She spends like 99% of her time in the Lost Woods anyways (albeit the Forest Temple), what better person to play the role?
- Fairy (new) - We know she has a fairy, wouldn't be too hard to pick out a name.
- 4 - There's already that many in MM, and it shouldn't be too much for us to tackle. Theme-wise, I think we should have a crystal mine like area (mysterious and shiny *o*), a creepy deathly area (like a forest of dead trees with dense fog), an area like you see in the cutscenes with the giants (a sort of dimensional time-gap where timeflow is altered), and perhaps inside a tree
- *possible plot* somethings steals Saria's fairy and she takes off after it. She eventually finds her fairy who managed to escape, but is lost in the forest. Her leaving the forest temple though causes the Lost Woods to go wacky, and she has to play a song in each of the 4 temples in order to fix them and set the forest straight. (easter egg: perhaps she could run into Navi at some point?)
- She finds Link coming back from Termina and heads back to Hyrule (sadness / mystery: we all know they never make it there)

[/li][li] Majora is the threat. he has possessed the happy mask salesman with the mask. which makes sense, seeing majora isn't really dead and the power/evil is still locked in the mask. and he took it with him, presumably to go back to hyrule.(im not really sure we agreed on that one or not, but it seemed mutually accepted.)

[/li][li] you suggested like 3 or 4 dungeons in skype. i vaguely remember one being a dark crystal cavern. I suggest 12 if we could release 2 patches for the rom. one for the first half that ends as "to be continued, load part 2" and the other half that is the actual end. curious if I could load the same save for two roms. perhaps I could try and find a way to force it to save at the end of the first half, so that at the second half you load at that spot. with the exact items you had.

edit: an idea i just had for an enemy is what i like to call the "fire knuckle" just an iron knuckle on fire that sets you on fire when it hits you. would probably be stronger.

I was thinking more of Oot DBG. But then again, maybe it is best to have it be on MM. And I do think that makeing more than 12 dungeons is possible. We can just replace levels like Romani ranch or Goron city with dungeons. And maybe we could add a 2-player option. 2 Links maybe? And we could make more areas for Link to go to to make the game more open to the player!

ok. the fairies are navi, and whatever saria's fairies name is.
Not looking forward to the saria thing, but it will work. just seems like link is still the best candidate for the main playable character.
pretty sure cutscenes are possible with two fairies, seeing cutscenes are more dynamic in MM.
excited i can contribute to the first actual MM mod.

It would be cool to see Ganon resurrected by Majora to gain triforce and overthrow Hyrule. Link could either pull of the Feirce Diety or just normal link thing. Another thing, making landscape TP Hyrule Field was amazing because there was more than just rolling as quick as you can to get to the next place. A lot of discovery was measured in such as heart pieces, secret hookshot to ledges, etc. Also, secrets are generally epic. When the hunt for the Triforce began a long time ago, people were certain to find it. Not saying hunt the Triforce, but give players the feel that there's more than just a story, like a very secret dungeon, cave, grotto even? It just needs to be something that makes the players get excitement on discovering something barely even hinted at... Also a cool thing is to add some dungeons be combined element (ice or water and fire, shadow and forest, desert and light.. Or something of the likes, another cool thing would to enter the sacred realm, I always thought that would be cool in OoT) Another thing as a gamer, I get tired of mods where they just add a crap ton of enemies, I like controlled situations, Is it logical to put a iron knuckles in the first dungeon? One hit you're dead. Maybe, but if you put 3? Not really, if you add to many hard things it makes it harder to find difficult things in the next dungeons. When doing dungeons or levels, the first has to be amazing, it needs to enchant the player with the "I wanna see more" feeling. They want to play the next dungeon and so fourth. Deku Tree was a spectacular example. Using many moving actors, webs that burned away or broke, how to use vines etc. it was a great beginning! Also, if a gamer started out instantly in a new place, feeling of epicness Is lost. However, a familiar place brings back memories, suddenly, the game turns from familiar to unfamiliar, they will be overwhelmed and excited; like dungeons, they want to explore more. There's some ideas, hope I could be of help:)
