well, why don't you tell us what time you may be able to join on friday, and we'll set the meeting around that time. would also be helpful if you could specify a timezone.
24th is a little while away, but we can have another meeting then.
I assume it will be held on the IRC, because that is the most convenient spot at this point.
I don't want it to be on skype. skype killed my father once.

I can create custom maps and port display lists. Unfortunately I can't edit existing maps though, all versions of UoT refuse to work on my pc after a recent .NET update. I tried making my own branch of Sharp Ocarina to make it possible to open maps and scenes, but quickly figured out that thanks to the way it loads and stores projects, it wouldn't be possible without entirely rewriting the program.
Anyway, I'm waiting on the IRC for you guys to join in

Thanks for the suggestion! does hylian cartographer still work? Nah, I've actually worked on 4 variations of Hylian Cartographer. The only released one was built with the MSVC11 beta runtime so it doesn't work for anyone, and I lost the source code to that version with a pc crash. It wasn't that special though, it's only features were the filesystem editor and patch manager. The one I've made the most progress on was the VC2010 project, and was the one I posted all the screenshots showing up model loading and the like. The api was really messy, and unfortunately while trying to improve it I broke it beyond repair and am back to step 1. Then there's the java build which really has no tools yet, but is entirely plugin driven for which the api is about 80% complete. Lastly is a C#2010 project I've been working on which really was just me goofing around, but it's actually coming along quite nicely. Currently, the F3DZEX parser is capable of handling 01, 05, 06, 07, DE, DF, E7, and FA instructures. Below is display list 0x28288 in object_link_boy.zobj being rendered in vertex-normal and vertex-color modes I haven't been working on it much lately. I'd probably make more progress if I could decide whether or not to write it in VC++, C#, or Java instead of all 3 >_>

thats totally kickass.
been thinking of a setting for the mod, what if it took place in a more "desert" type of environment. like with dunes and stuff.
like hyrule is a mass desert because of a curse ganon placed on it

thats totally kickass. been thinking of a setting for the mod, what if it took place in a more "desert" type of environment. like with dunes and stuff. like hyrule is a mass desert because of a curse ganon placed on it I like the idea of a desert, but I don't think Ganon should be the antagonist in this. btw, what happened to everyone getting together and discussing this today? I've been poking my head around all day on the irc and haven't seen any of you guys online :/

well. i tried to. but the only one there was punk. get on the IRC before punk starts having an akward conversation with me.
well the only thing i can think of being wrong with ganon being the protagonist is he was already killed.
but there was that paradox where if link leaves hyrule as a child everything he did is undone.
also why did that one sage warp link 7 years further in time and make him an adult if it still took 7 years for link to become the exact same age?

It was the sword that sealed him, not the sage. The sword deemed him worthy of the title of hero of time, but he wasn't old enough to wield it.
WW actually took place because of that paradox you were talking about. When Link left Hyrule, no one was left to protect it from Ganon's return and the gods were forced to intervene. So, perhaps maybe a different hero? Maybe a plot twist in which they are unsuccessful and die at the end of the story?

yeah but WW was/is totally lame. only cuz boats and total abuse of cel shading.
basically, my idea is the hero in oot fails do to the paradox, like in WW. but rather than be drowned, hyrule slowly burns. which seems much more evil for ganon to do.

hey, WW was frikkin awesome. my only problem is the completely uncannon spinoff crap it started like the Tingle Tuner, MC, FS, FSA, PH, and ST (all of which I've played and beaten except TT and they all suck ass)

it's dissapoint when the first zelda game you ever played was OOT. set my standards way too high. back on topic to ideas for the mod, what if we modified the iron knuckles into darknuts? or just replaced the axes on the iron knuckles with swords. and gave them more kickass animations.
