okay, so i'm very new to the legend of zelda modding scene, so recently i downloaded ovzmav2 to export maps as .obj files for another game. (OVZMAV2 does that right...?) a long with a few other purposes i'm a little stuck, first off, when i try to run the rom, it says it cant be found: why exactly doe it say this? any help would be greatly appreciated

drag the .z64 file on top of ozmav2.exe. (not sure if it works like that on XP)
kinda like when you drag a file into a folder, except file on file.

It is because of the quotes. remove the quotes. I'd also recommend to put the rom in either the directory of OZMAV2 or a subdirectory (So you'll just have to type ZELOOTMA(default).Z64 or /[dir]/ZELOOTMA(default).Z64 ) alright, i managed to get the rom working, but now i have another issue: okay, so when i try to dump the map as an .obj file, where does it get dumped to? i read a comment on a demonstration video saying that you needed to manually create a dump file, so i did that then attempted to dump it but there is no file in the dump folder?

it says its been dumped successfully: EDIT: could it possibly be the rom itself?

possibly. I'll PM you a CLEAN rom. what map btw? I could just rip it. (But I'll understand if you want to do it yourself....) oh. is your system 32 or 64 bit? Not sure if it'd do any difference with OZMAV2... im running windows XP, 32bit, but if you'd like to, it'd be nice if you could rip hyrule field for me. theres a few other maps i'd like to do myself just so i can figure out how to do it. if you could get that map for me i'd really appreciate it! EDIT: i downloaded your rom and it was able to dump files from it. thank you so much ;D i think the problem was my other roms game ID is different, because this one is NZLE

There's an issue with the map dumping routine that causes the output to sometimes end up in weird places, but xdaniel (the author of OZMAV2) hasn't been able to conclusively track what causes this. You might have more luck contacting him directly about this issue, as a solution might have already been found, since I recall this issue being brought up to him before.

I have never had problems with the linux BETA (Except random crashes, and that it was hell to find) and it is supposed to be NZLE, I think the one that one other one has a few hacks already applied? to tell you the truth, i don't remember ever putting other hacks on the rom i was first trying to use. i had two roms, one did have hacks and one was clean, all i did was added "(default)" to the clean rom so i could differentiate between the two. EDIT: so i know this is a little off-topic, but i didnt want to make a new thread just to carry on top of this one, i just wanted to know if anyone knew of a good item viewer for zelda? i feel like i bumped into one made by xdaniel but i cant remember what it was called :/
