Since OOT has a modified version of the mario 64 engine, would it be possible to modify toads tool 64 to edit zelda?

Well the debug rom is already decompressed and it already has loads of free space And it wouldn't be so I guess, I only think some database editing should be needed, I really like the function for modifying textures in the editor So I say: Make the developers do it! Or Decompile it and make it urself or Make sumthin simmilar but moar awesome

VL-Tone would never have the time to make it into a Zelda editor considering he barely gets time to do anything with it anyway. It would mean rewriting pretty much the whole thing anyway so there's really no point. SayakaGL is probably the best bet for a Zelda hacking program now.

So you would make a new zelda hacking program if you had the source for toads tool

It wouldn't work. I believe that toads tool is specifically programmed to read SM64's ucode, Fast3D. OoT uses F3DZEX (similar to F3DEX2). Basically, it uses different model programming.
Am I correct in making that assumption?

what does F3dEX stand for?
sounds like a modified version of mario 64's ucode.

I really don't know what it stands for, sorry. Here is pretty good way to explain why Toads Tool isn't made to work with F3DZEX:
Basically, SM64 uses a different model format than OoT. However, if the F3DZEX is just modified version of Fast3D then think of it as SM64 using Gamecube models and OoT using Wii models.
