I have a few other questions relating to the graphics. Does anyone know how to change the color of the sky on the file select screen for the OoT debug rom? Since a night sky and cloudy sky have been done already, I'd like to have a regular blue sky with white clouds in them. How can I do this without the use of a gameshark code but a hex edit to make it permanent?
And one last thing. I want to be able to change the HUD. I'd really love to change the A, B, and four C buttons to look like Majora's Mask but if I can't do it, that's okay. But I want to know how to change the Navi C Up icon to say Tatl. I found a tutorial on how to do it with n64gfx but I don't think it uses the debug rom and when I try using what I found, I just get snowy looking images. I think what I need is the offset but I'm terrible when it comes to those. Even after reading guides, I can't figure out how everyone knows what offsets go to what.

ok, you'll need ZLE2 to dothe texture part. (Search Zelda level editor on the forums and you should be ok ) on the offsets, dp you mean for objecs or for other stuff? id it is for objects then there is a good list coming with ZLE2. sky-color on file select.. no idea :/

I do have ZLE2, so that's not a problem. I've tried it out but when I click on dump when I'm ready to dump textures, nothing seems to happen. I found out how to dump the item sprites, location names, and the title screen information but I want to edit the word Navi to say Tatl on the C-Up button. On the tutorial I saw it was grouped with Attack, Put Away, Speak, etc. But I think the tutorial was for the regular OoT 1.0 ROM, not the Debug Rom so the offset they put in the box for where those textures would be located wasn't the correct one.

Okay. Hmm, I thought I did that but for some reason, some of my images came out snowy, I'm not sure why.

You did it with ZLE2? btw I know I have some notes on it somewhere..... can't find them tho, but I know onw thing, they cannot be exported with title icon export, so zobj textureexport and some offset I probably have it on the other computer......

I did. And now I want to expand on what I was talking about as I just did it again to see what was going on. When I do all the steps to dump textures from the game while its playing, I do the find ROM/RAM base, and then click dump, nothing happens. So I go to the main window and click the export batch file and it lists a whole bunch of files but at the end of them all I get a File IO error. So nothing ever gets dumped. D:

ok, tell me what file contains the textures and I'll fix it, it works fine for me (win xp sp3 x86) that would be what zobj, the offsets will be fine too

Haha, I knew that. XD I figured the offset would be completely different for the debug rom but if you could find the correct offsets which I totally suck at, I'd really appreciate it. =)

Has anyone ever figured out how to edit the words that appear in the HUD yet? I haven't figured out how to dump those yet. I've seen hi-res texture packs with those buttons edited so someone must know what they're doing.
By the way, question about ZLE2. I followed the texture dumping instructions (finally figured out how to do that). I edited what I wanted to edit, used png2raw and then texture_import, but my changes don't appear in the game. Anybody know why? And yes, I used 1964 for texture dumping rather than PJ64.

Nope, I left it the same exact image size. It first it was bmp as I couldn't get png to work with MSPaint (which I love for simplicity reasons). I'm using Windows 2000 which in my opinion works better than even the newest operating systems. I replaced Windows 2000's Paint with Windows XP's so it has png support now. I exported the picture to png, used png2raw and then I used texture_import in the main folder. I did not rename the image either as the original was there and when I went to save, it asked me if I wanted to replace it, and I said yes. So I load up the game, and nothing, it's still the same. x.x
By the way, one more thing I've been meaning to ask. I dunno if it's my ROM image or what, but why is my sun all screwed up. I mean it's like 4 whole suns and two halves in the thing. The moon looks fine but the sun is all messed up. It was like that before I even started doing anything to it though.
