Paper Mario: The Text-Hack'd Door! A GameCube ISO hack made by extracting files, editing them with NotePad++, and inserting them back into the ISO with GCRebuilder! I'd like to think this is the first and only text hack of Thousand-Year Door, and it probably is. If you can find another one made before this, do show me, as I'd like to know why it hasn't shown up in my Google Searches. Video Previews Jokingly-Made Trailer PreviewBeta Preview of Intro Demo <- New! As a side note, I need to ask a question. Which do you think is better: Making a .ppf patch from a 1.35 GB ISO file, or giving the .txt files out and letting the consumers insert them into the ISO themselves? The latter won't be so bad if GCR allows one to import a whole folder. *Needs to check sometime*

LOL that's awesome as for your side note, i think it depends on who your consumers are, and if your not surre (like if you were to release it on youtube), i think maybe the text file, then if people have lots of trouble with it you could put up the ppf as a backup?

Lol,I have already seen this. (I have seen this last time in 2009) I was looking for text hacking paper Mario (64) and found a text hack of NGC Paper Mario. How would you get this back on your gamecube when text hacked? What?! How come l can't ever find these things on Google?! > Buuut...I dunno how you'd get it back on the GameCube. But in theory, one could make an .xml file for Riivolution, put the msg folder in the right spot on an SD Card, and have Riivolution patch the game from there. But I'm not too sure on Riivolution working with GameCube games, so l just use Dolphin to play the ISO.

I just use Dolphin so I can play it at all, really. Burning DVD's never worked for me, *cough*. I have never tried, but I will maybe try it out. I have never worked with emulators higher than the Nintendo 64. That means I have never tried playing GameCube,I don't even think it would work properly. GameCube/Wii emulation advanced pretty far, but it won't matter if your computer can't handle it. I don't know much about "specs," just that whatever l have is good enough.

Does text hacking work on other Game Cube Iso's too? I would like to try out. What part would I have to look in to text hack? Uh, GCRebuilder works with any GameCube ISO, so you can extract any files with that. But the thing is, I don't think other games use .txt files to control the game text like PM does. Every game does it differently, so you'd have to Google search for it and hope for the best.
