Thanks, frozen, I'll give that a whirl on my work computer tomorrow and see if it works. EDIT: Works like a charm. I've been waiting a long time to get this working. You're welcome. the waterbox editor comes in handy, but I'll stick to using UoT mostly.

True, but Zappy works better for custom maps. It may have been an error with injecting the map file back into the ROM, but in my experience, UoT corrupts custom maps when saving them, and I've never gotten ZAP2 to work for me--this is really the only other option I have.

UoT corrupts custom maps? How so? I have been trying to use custom maps alot, what does UoT do to them that I haven't noticed?
And ZAP/ZLE Never work for me either. Nice to know I'm not the only one with issues with it though I suppose.

Looking back on it, I'm positive it was an error upon injecting the zmap and zscene back into the ROM--I mixed up the addresses, thus completely corrupting the map. I'll look back into it at some point or another, because I'm having problems with Zappy again: it will load the actors and their position just fine EXCEPT for the ones whose values and variables have been modified. I think the problem is with the groups; do these have to be modified manually?
For ZAP2/ZLE2, it's an issue with the ZSO release version involving saving. I think the option is simply bugged and it isn't saving properly; thus, the program is mostly useless. I've gotten ZLE2 to work fully once before, but now it crashes my computer and spouts a blue screen of death (though I am certain the blue screen is a hardware problem more than anything).

Blue screen can be because of a software lockup im pretty sure too.
Annnd if i understand the question right: You need to edit the groups of a actor or the actor will simply not load up. Again UoT can pull this off for you.
I can get ZLE/ZAP to kinda work, but I just don't know how to work it, so I don't bother. If you want I can upload/share my ZLE/ZAP to you. It works, but like I said I just don't know how to control it. xD

Since I read spinout's tutorial on it, I know I'm doing everything right, and the save to RAM works, but not the save to ROM. So, I can move actors and supposedly change them, but the actor gets deleted upon reloading the ROM. If you could upload your copy of the files and such, or better yet, the installation for it, that would be way-super-cool-jawesome.

I have installed vpython 2.5 along with my already installed python 2.5. Whenever I try to run my .bat file I get this error message and cannot get zappy to run:
import multiarray ImportError: DLL load failed with error code 193 press any key to continue...
my .bat file is as follows: @echo off C:\python25\python C:\python25\zappy.py C:\lozcon.z64 101 0
I have tried reinstalling bot several times with no luck, the only other thing I have ever used python for is spinout's map porter and I had no problems there. Let me know if theres a solution to this problem.
EDIT: I switched from python 2.5.5 to python 2.5.1 and solved my problem. It works well now, but sometimes I get a white screen and need to close out the program when switching between actors and increments. any ideas? pause

Don't hold down any keys which change the window title.
