For the scale just keep trying values until you get it the size you want.
I'm not sure why the controls wouldn't work for Zappy, because it has worked every time for me. Just make sure the window is selected, and you're not pressing any other buttons. You could also try finding the zappy_settings file and editing the camera speed to something higher.

If it closes after you input the scale, then there is something wrong with the .obj file, make sure the textures are the correct format. Try this version of the converter: spinout182.com/model_convert.py

Find where Sketchup is installed and put it in the plugins folder. Then when you have made the model in Sketchup, go to plugins then export obj file.

Judging by your input, you have entered the \ in the wrong directions. Example:
C:/users <- this is what you did
C:\users <- this is the correct way
Try doing that, and it should work. If it still doesn't work, make sure the textures are the right format before converting. To be sure, open your .obj and .mtl files in a hex editor or notepad, and search for "png". If it returns results, change them to "bmp".

Hey spinout? What 3D editing tool did you use? I'm trying to import a map with the old version because I think that version loads the textures with other plugins but the new version, only lets rices to read the textures correctly kind of.
But the old version doesn't read the mtl files right so I tried making one with another 3D program and it imported but the textures did not load.
Thats why I wanted to ask what 3D program did you used?
EDIT: I mean the old version with the first time that can import textures I meant.

Odd, I was using that and it says Texture no such file or something and it gives me the address and I put the picture and it still says no such file or directory. C:\\Users\Mario man\\Documents\\Test obj\\Test\\Stair way\\ Dolphin1.bmp
Even though it ask for something like this: " Picture.bmp" It looks like its spaced before the name and I cant fix that.

Nothing big..just a basic room, will do more to it later more than likely. Buuut...
How does I import?
I tried to import just a basic plain, replacing the kokiri forest, and when I tried to enter it just stuck at the black loading screen. Perhaps I need to manually add a exit? if thats the case can someone help? (Tell me how to add exits via hex or program)EDIT: Scratch that. I can understand shitty textures, but this has no textures at all. And I swear when I was using Sketchup I had all the textures in bmp format, and it says they are all png. Also, how do I control the Water Boxes? UoT or...? Spinout, a idea for the next release whenever that is: While it ports have the program dump the .zmap data somewhere? I noticed that it saves things in its own zmap offset, which can get a little annoying for some. Just a idea anyway..nevermind that, I am apparently blind. Still though, how would I go about using textures? ANOTHER EDIT: Whats up with the .py converter thing? File "C:\model_convert.py", line 290, in OBJ2F3DEX2 texture=open(texture_name,"rb") IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'C:\\\\ Untitled/M_256.bmp' .....? At least now I know sketchups dumping .bmp textures, thats been driving me nuts.

Make sure you are using only 32 x 32 pixel bitmap textures; otherwise, they will be replaced with that dark gold color. Also, you may want to implement a roof and increase the size of your map--Link is roughly 4' 8" tall as a child and 5' 6" feet tall as an adult, for a reference.
