I caught 21 pounder in that upside-down-U shaped log with the one branch on it near the back-end of the pond.

About knee-deep in the water, on the opposite side of the of the pond from the entrance/bald-guy, near BUT NOT IN the lily pads. I Catch the smaller fish first so it doesn't annoy me, THEN I catch the biggun. It helps to try to get it into shallow water so that it flops around, or even better yet, onto the sand behind you.For a reason that's most annoying, it is difficult to catch, AND it only ever gives me two chances before it retreats to the middle-bottom of the pond for 15 minutes to three hours. I was adult, btw, and I had equipped the iron boots. And NO, changing your boots does nothing. Do that helpify? [ I was considering using UoT to raise the ground in the pond so that everywhere, the water is just up to Link's chin, so NO fish can scapefy to the bottom ]
