Compilation of a few songs I've made throughout 2018 with the latest being Glimmer Katacombs, my personal favorite from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat 2 (not a real fan game) and something recently created this week as a tribute to the original game and previous DK games, can you guys tell which exact DK games and songs were inspired by this wet and cold underground theme? It's up to you if you want to take a guess and find out! It's more than just DKJB. Majestic Grove should sound familiar, I really wanted a Sacred Grove in Zelda Breath of the Wild but alas never got it so decided to make one instead that I hoped would fit and of course it could be better but hey this idea was on the top of my head at the time I first started working on it. Last but not least Calming Forest somewhat inspired from the Kirby series but a kind soul on my Youtube channel said this would sound nice for a Donkey Kong game believe it or not similar to Forest Interlude of DKC2, that compliment alone has had me actively look for other video game music composers to collaborate with that like the DK series and other games overall. Definitely would be interesting to remake some songs from David Wise's DKCTF soundtrack or even brand new ideas for songs and melodies in general. There's more songs that I've made but these are the main three that stick out the most that I'm quite content with and I am currently in the process of working on even more video game music but in the meantime just thought I'd share these cool things here even though I know nobody will probably ever see or respond to this, so catch ya on the flipside Glitchkill~ ✌️

Nice work. I personally like Calming Forest myself. It does give off a bit of that Dave Wise feel.

It's crazy too because just exactly a year ago we both were saying to each other how much we had procrastinated making music but lately ideas began pouring out to me in 2018, not sure why now really but I'm happy to get my groove back I felt was missing from a year ago.

It's nice to see a familiar face around here every once in a while, I also took a random browse of this forum just yesterday not having been here in forever but I started to wonder how things were going on Glitchkill and decided to pop in and see...a bit dead but still generating new users as well as viewers, so that's a good sign that this place is still very much alive in a sense! What about you though, been making any new songs lately yourself? I've always admired your work. Happy holidays by the way.

It's still as much as a ghost town as ever, haha. I've been mostly contributing to The Cutting Room Floor myself. Stuff I've done can be viewed here: tcrf.net/User:Punk7890 I haven't made a new song for some time now. Mostly some small arrangements of various songs from games arranged in Jet Force Gemini style that haven't been uploaded yet. I am curious, what songs I've mine did you like most? I have been thinking of getting into making music again. Happy holidays. I hope all is well.

Debug and unused finds in video games are always nice, lately stumbled upon some random stuff myself I found on Youtube videos of beta versions of games I never knew about and even odd translations lol it's great people really research it all and share their thoughts about them with us. Hey did you hear online Nintendo might be working on the next Zelda game? I'm curious how they're going to make something that can surpass BoTW, though to be honest personally for me it wasn't the absolute best Zelda game of all time like many people still say it is. Now I'll admit I was one of those very same people that thought that's what it was going to be as well after watching the first demo trailers years ago but after actually having played the game in 2017 my opinion has changed. Also that's cool! I'm still doing my remasters/remakes of video game music over on my channels but continuing progress of that has been slowed down the past couple months compared to back when I first started, plus ever since taking a break mid year to focus on life again which has been alright I guess, can't complain haha most of my fans honestly thought I was dead it's funny how people forget life outside of the internet does exist and that reminds me, have you heard anything from Exciter lately? I miss that dude!! I know he occasionally uploads some neat new content on his Soundcloud, good to know he's still active in the music world. As for my favorite songs you've made I've listened to before, I'd have to say Past of Venus Battle Theme because of how fitting and perfect it sounds for an RPG game and your SC-55 Movement 1 ''Field, Village In The Fog, Forest, Caves'' song which believe it or not I commented on your Soundcloud a few years ago actually haha seriously though I really got a Zelda Minish Cap vibe from that song and loved it! All your music is wonderful! I hope you do find time to get back into making more again someday.

Yeah, it's fun finding unused, debug menus, or hidden stuff in video games, especially in games from one's childhood.
Meanwhile, I still haven't played a Zelda title past Twilight Princess, and I've only played a bit of it as well!
No idea where Exciter has been. Good to know he still uploads music.
Yeah the battle theme's not bad. I personally am fond of SC-55 Movement 1 myself. I also like SC-55 Snowy Plains a lot as well. I'll probably get back into composing sometime. Glad you like them!
