Hi, I used to be a member on this site a few years ago. I came back because recently I bought Zelda OoT 1.0 on ebay and for whatever the reason whenever I put the blasted gold cart in my N64. It boots up and the moment I try to access the select file menu there is a loud beep, black screen, and yellow debug line. I have an N64 gameshark that works and I was wondering if anyone knows of a code to delete all save data. I'm not sure whats wrong. I tried the beta quest 2/intro world 2 and was able to play the game just fine. I'm certain its something wrong with the system itself. Can anyone help me? EDIT: I just found out that the previous owner used a gs code 8111A5FE 270F which if I'm not mistaken is the heart container amount. I've tried the no name glitch in beta quest and saved thinking I could atleast overwrite the first slot of data which was the only one in use. I'm not sure what to do

You could try changing the code "8111A5FE 270F" to 8111A5FE 0003. It should start you off with 3 hearts.

I wanted to do a playthrough heartless and swordless and I can't even start the game :/ Let me try that code. From what he is telling me he tried to give himself more than 999 hearts. Exactly 9999. EDIT: It didn't fix it like I thought. I'm not sure what to do.

Try this code I quickly made. This should erase all file 1 stuff. You must not activate any other equipment codes and you must be able to at least save. Once you save with this code on, turn off your game and play normally. This should make file 1 empty. 50005502 0000 8111A5EC 0000 If this fails, its most likely your cart is damaged.

EDIT: Freezes right after the N64 Logo. No intro. What if I tried to save in beta quest with "No name glitch code" active with the code active? Lemme check if it will atleast let me skip the intro. EDIT2: Nope.avi won't let me access beta quest. freezes the same way with the audio still playing.

OMFG! YOU OR I DID IT! I DON'T KNOW HOW!
Basically I used my old nes screw opener bolt that works on N64. I opened the cart and messed with the battery. I just jiggled it and now I can access my menu! HOLY F*** mate! I hope the save feature still works!

Glad you got it working. Though do remember that you need that battery for saving.
