In Fallout 3 you get turned around when you reach the border, and that's about as open world as it gets.
Except for Minecraft which starts fucking up at a certain point.

No. That is by definition a closed world, currently there is no open world, in any game.... ever. *By the definition that there is no border and that it doesn't turn you around anywhere* ^ has never heard of Katamari

Unless it's randomly generated every time. Limited at that time, but unlimited in ideas or length over time.

Yes. Okay for just a concept but why remake one of the least enjoyable games and one that won't really show Wii U to its potential? I suppose it would be greatly improved if they add rocket boosters to the boat, though. They released Black Ops II for the Wii U IvanX: 1 Basket O'Death: Naught I just want to know where the fuck MM 3D is. Made me laugh, would karmatise you if anyone actually gave a damn about karma anymore. For the purpose of derailment, here is a picture of Luigi with his crotch on fire.

Andreawws, an open world game is a game where you have free-roam to explore the entire overworld from an early point in the game. Any game that has a large overworld that you access almost any part of it through the whole game is open world. OoT is not open world because rather then a real overworld, it just uses confined levels with exits leading to other places.
An open world game is not a game where you can get to the other side of world be traveling far enough to the other side. That's Pacman.

in star fox 64 you get turned around in all range mode because you hit the border. bet that means it open world too. I get turned around whenever I try to go through a door that says "Staff Only". I bet that means Target is open world too.

you're talking about an infinite or seamless world, not an open world. The term "open world" refers to a large that while it has borders, you're free to roam anywhere inside it.

How are OoT & MM Open world? They don't have overworlds, they have levels/maps, that are restricted by walls. Wind Waker has an overworld, The Great Sea, and you can seal wherever you want without it having to load different areas. That's why it's open world. So by my definition, TP isn't open world either. U mad?
