Hey I just got a great idea for an easter egg! ;D The player will be just wondering around then all of a sudden they find an entrance. They go inside and it is the overworld of the first zelda game! Rareu can be the old man!

The Hyrule Overworld of the first game would be VERY big... Could make a dungeon, cave, secret area (first game related maybe?) and add the old man(Its a secret to everyone) or some easter egg. Another thought was(Adding to the actual gameplay) would be instead of doing just heart pieces, we could do full heart dungeons? Like three or four dungeons, caves etc set in fairly secret locations and at the very end have a full heart piece. Also make them accessible only when having certain items. Hookshot entrance only, megaton hammer boulder to get through, etc. Dungeon Structure( -Ideas First temple is the graphical show off, but easy, as the second dungeon is a little more of an introduction to intermediate/easy. The ones after get harder as such. The second dungeon however, is also(depending which way you go) a bit of “parkour” style map. If choosing to do “parkour”, relate it to jumping across a few blocks or fall to your death kinda thing. Nothing complicated. But, later on you can incorporate more complicated objects and concepts hookshot/longshot, switches, platforms, hover boots and/or water boxes(swimming up water and jumping out onto platform). Dungeons, early or not, have some sort of maze, pattern or element to it. One thing that would work for dungeons is to put a difficult maze in, but also easily memorable so the player doesn’t have to backtrack through maze(normally, to avoid back tracking there would be a quck access path to and from the maze exit without the hassle of going through the maze again. Mazes, whether lost woods style or literal maze(Fire Temple) should also hold treasure at dead ends, making the maze a little more worth it, as well as deadly dead ends(reload room). In dungeons, many doors use keys. In many Zelda games, you have to backtrack through the dungeon and unlock the right door. Whenever you get a key, (normally) there is only one door available to use it on to avoid section skipping. Last dungeon normally just a spitting out a crap ton of enemies and tests of all the dungeons the player just finished. Ganons Tower:OoT had 6 elemental barriers and reused a lot of the elements making up the other temples (Water:Ice Puzzle, As for the last dungeon boss, refer to OoT, MM, WW, TP, and just about any other Zelda game, they have the boss battle two times or more; complete with different fighting tactics each time. If you can tell, id be very interested in helping out I have little experience with the MM debug rom, but have experience using the Debug Rom for OoT

I know the first zelda overworld was really big. So what I think is we should just make a short path for Link to follow and then he finds a secret item. *magic maybe? Or an entirely new item*

I wanna get some work done, but I've been shoveling gravel the past few days and by the time I come in I'm too exhausted to work on anything. I usually nap until like 11/12pm, then play a game or watch a few youtube vids.
Seriously, in so much pain right now it hurts to breath :/

I would help but right now all I can do is graphics. I don't have any experience on anything else! But somebody else took the job. I can do trailers for the project but the only progam I have to make videos is Windows Live Movie Maker. I don't know what else I can do for help.

Oh, sorry to hear that SoulofDiety! Just take your time, if you need someone who can do maps, ideas or etc, I can do that, I use Sketchup 8, I know a little 3ds Max(not too much tho) and can use a lot of the tools for porting and editing. I'll help whenever you need me!

I did, Andreawws, but they will need more than one mapper. I'm volunteering as another mapper. I'm not to good working on the models of objects and stuff, but i definitely can create custom maps and can give plenty of ideas for the idea structure side of things.

dman, go back a few pages... I already signed up for graphics ^^" *maps, models and the such* That reminds me, if anyone is good with organic textures they can have that job * textures meant to look organic aren't my strongest side...* There can always be more then one of the same position. I don't know were you got the idea there has to be one.
