Rice Video sucks, it's prone to many graphics errors and often textures won't load. Use Glide64 instead, it supports loading texture packs in the exact same way.

I have made texture packs before and I have never had this problem happen before. I don't use MS paint for editing. I use paint.net. The shield was 512 by 1080 before I edited it. When I was done editing it still said 512 by 1080. This problem has happened only on the hylian shield and the sun's cave textures. All the other textures work fine. I will try what SoulofDeity has suggested.

That's not the problem. I tried doing what you said and it still did not work. I even turned the shields' colors inverted and the game still won't show it.

GIMP doesn't seem to be working either unless I'm doing something wrong and Glide64 just keeps on crashing upon loading the first texture. >:(What's wrong with PJ64!? The graphics work on other computers except mine!

Tails, you edited the Shield texture in paint. Try saving it as a .bmp, re opening it, and saving it as a PNG. If that doesn't work, open it in something like Photoshop, right click the layer, and click "Flatten Image" and save. Otherwise, I can't tell you what the problem is.

Sorry that method didn't work either.

Before I got a laptop I made textures using my family's home computer and all the textures worked just fine. Then I got my laptop. I then made another texture pack on my laptop and it worked fine as well. Then I tried to make another one and then I started geting the problems. It doesn't make any sense!

For a reference, your shield texture should be 512x1024, not 512x1080. Also, if you're using a particularly old version of Rice's plugin series (I think anything before Aristotle's plugin) then it won't load anything above 4x or 8x the original texture resolution.

Ok well I got Aristotle video plugin 6.1.8. Mudlord works fine. (Except that one texture) I put all the proper files in the certain folders in PJ64. I start the game up and it loads the textures but then after 1 second, the emulator crashes and says,
Exception caught File: D:\My Programs\home\Project64\project 64 1.7\Source\N64 System\C Core\C Core Interface.ccp Line: 356

Then why do the textures work on other computers? I even tried other texture packs and heck even one made by another person and it only worked on my old version of rice video!

I'm sorry about the title being misleading and for not giving much info about the problem. I'm just trying ask for help because of rice video. I don't know what else to do! I downloaded other plugins, tried diffrent packs, turned options off, and it still didn't work! Could some one give me a link to a working plugin, emulator, or texture pack because I just can't stand rice video not working when I know that it used to work on other computers!

I'm trying to upload my plugin file to somewhere but all the sites wont accept my file I'm trying to upload saying that it is too big. I even put everything that wasn't important out of the folder! What do I do now?
