At the time I was new to glitchkill, but I had long since been a member of 2 other sites managed by Flotonic. When the second site (Zomars domain I think?) was hacked by it's co-owner and destroyed, I made a membership on his first site. Then the same guy hacked that site and was posting goat porn and crap, so Flotonic shut it down. I kept in touch with him for a long time after that on Youtube telling him about the progress of the (old) Hylian Cartographer, exchanging mods / various concepts of Zelda hacking, and trying to figure out a way to get his 'stalker' off of him. Eventually, he told me that he decided to give up Zelda hacking, and not long after we stopped talking to each other. Anyway, long story short, I wasn't really an amateur when I posted those

I believe the forums you are talking about is called Maco64. I was a moderator and later became an admin on those sites.

Yeah that right, Zomar's domain was another site I joined that was dedicated to 'portable-izing' game consoles. BTW, is that site still up or did he erase it?
EDIT: Huh, I just found the InvisionFree Maco64 (his first site) and they just had a post earlier today. I guess they're still up and going.
EDIT#2: Nope, mybad. That was just the date. They haven't had any updates since May 11, 2011

They haven't had any updates since May 11, 2011 Nah, the REAL Maco64 (and it's InvisionFree predecessor boards) were shut down. Since then, Twili and Seikao have tried a few times to start a new Maco which is what you probably found. Of course, they failed since none of the old members and the other two administrators returned.

Looks like stealing the community may have been Vex's intention from the beginning. lol. he was lonely XD
It just sucks that he targetted Flotonic. Him and Spinout are the best in the business.

Can't say I missed anyone who disappeared after that. Less drama is nice for actual progress in the community. It results in things like HC, which I heartily approve of.

Well, it sucks for me cause Flotonic was my 'inside connection'. Spinout (as awesome as he is) was one of the people conspiring with Vex to destroy Maco and cooliscool and I were on bad terms at the time because he didn't take too kindly to me stating that my goal was to out-do UoT.
As far as I've seen, pretty much all the best hackers quit after the death of Maco. Granted there are a few great one's left, but their name's haven't been written in stone like the aforementioned.

To tell you the truth, there was pretty much a split in the whole Zelda Hacking "scene" back almost two years ago:
• There was a side which were friends with/worshipped Flotonic and Twili (I was friends with them) • Then there was the side who "disliked" them (I don't judge: spinout and some of his gang, ZZT, etc) • And there were the people who really didn't feel the need to stick to a certain side (example: good guy Sanguinetti + Myself + Other forums such as this)
Flotonic was my friend (or, at least, I considered him to be) and as much I hate saying this.. the split pretty much disappeared after he left. And it's true: everybody pretty much get's along with each other now; those who don't leave quite quickly. Even some really old veterans returned, including JSA, DL-77, sakura89, Shade, and sometimes haddockd.
But yes, It still sucks though.

Do sakura and haddockd still float around here on glitchkill? Those 2 I remember. haddockd is almost a stone written name. He's more like a name written on a piece of paper and glued to a stone. lol
Can't say I don't miss Maco though. I miss the activity.

Checkout Naxylldritt's, Zeth's, sakura's, and Shadow Fire's forums: the-gcn.com/indexIn my opinion, it's pretty active. Glitchkill is really only active when someone posts a rather interesting mod, question, program, or idea. Your Hyrule Cartographer has stirred it up once again.

I do my best to stir things.... Ah cool, Zeth is still in the hacking business too? That's awesome Scuuuse me as I ninja this conversion back on topic; I've decided what my next mod is going to be. I'm going to remake and finish my previous mod from last year using Hylian Cartographer; and the new vid will also show how it is done.

Unfortunately, this site is pretty dead. Once the Hylian Cartographer is released, I'd recommend spreading it around as (unfortunately) it might not get many views here.
I must say I like all the work you're putting into this project so far. It sounds great.

My newest mod, I ported the Twilight Realm to OoT. The texture's actually look a lot better than they do in the vid, Camstudio just has horrible video codecs.
