Hello everyone, new here and to the concept of modding z64 in general. I was thinking about trying to create my own dungeon similar to the other dungeons you see through out the game. However I have been looking around at the different mods and I see replaces this, replaces that, or here is a single room.
This make me wonder if the idea of building a dungeon is an unrealistic one. I mean why has no one else done it, is it even possible?

it's totally possible! infact, there's a custom dungeon in Zelda's Birthday, and many in the URA mod

Yeah, it's possible to do. But unless you want to extend the filetable, it is necessary to overwrite one of the existing pointers to add new custom maps. There are a few redundant/beta/testing entries, which the game doesn't require that can be overwritten. Or, if you're doing large amounts of replacements (as I am) it becomes unnecessary to keep certain maps.

Yes but, extending the filetable could be usefull since you might want to make more dungeons and keep most of the beta rooms eg room 119 is a relatively good dungeon itself. But I see no problem in this project and it would be relatively easy too! Use spinouts level porter for the easiest way. Don't know how to find it? Read this.Contact me or anyone else here on glitchkill if you encounter any problem and I'm sure you can get some help! Also, You are new, eh? Welcome to glitchkill!
