I know this isn't my topic, but could you guys please type/speak more legibly? When asking for help, those who can help you usually don't want to spend that much time deciphering what you've said.

Now, go to ur Obj2Area folder and paste everything u copied from tue "code" folder in there. Wallah!

Got nothing but more results putting it in the area2folder didnt help at all .However tinkering with its compiled form by I got something by entering it though the command line I tried all of tried mostly all the commands that it listed that would install it said it was missing pngpy it needed it to install Some thing done wrong?

Tried on vista with 2.6 holy cow comlete failure howd you do I recently gave up xp. vista not cool. You gave up XP for Vista? T.T That's probably your problem. I have no idea what error you're encountering; I've never seen it before. Did you install Python 2.5.4 and all of its components? If you did, you should be able to just double-click the script and it'll open itself up. Fill in the fields it asks for and it'll automatically insert the map/object/whatever into the ROM. The old converter will ask what offset to save to, the new one I'm not too sure about. As for using PNG texture in the first place, just don't, it really isn't worth it. Bitmaps ALWAYS turn out perfectly in my experience, as the new converter seems to have perfect support for it. I've never gotten textures to work correctly when they have PNG textures in them, and unless you absolutely need transparency in the map, just go with a sure thing and use bitmaps.

What exactly is the outcome of using the option 2 or wotf.py? Does it create a zobj or a display list, vertex data, and texture data?

What exactly is the outcome of using the option 2 or wotf.py? Does it create a zobj or a display list, vertex data, and texture data? It comes out as a outpput.bin if you drag something into it. But im still working on helping make a guide.output.bin is supossed to have some way putting your object in the game which I believe is done in hex.Probrably the exit modifier is involed?I havent been able to setup the other one cause of vista! I think that it has just DF for something is put in to connect it mainly like he said its quite hackish!(z64wiki)

Wait wat do u mean drag and drop? R u talking about the usage of wotf.py? Cuz as far as i know u just select option 2 in the old converter and then give it what it asks for. After that ur left with a display list and i found something a lil helpful on gekinzuku www.gekinzuku.com/forums/index.php?topic=975.0thnx for the info, DeathBasket, even though u hav no idea wat im saying u'll see u helped in the post above hehe

I have windows vista basic, and obj2area runs perfectly (with python 2.6). Only make sure the rom, the obj (with his stuff) and the .py are in the python 2.6 folder.

Don't use my old converter, please. If you want to produce individual display lists (option 2 of my old converter), use wotf.py. It's usage is documented in the readme that comes with it.
