use wotf.py of my new converter. never use my old converter. again, ".bin", a file extension, means nothing in regards to zelda hacking.
Usage: python wotf.py [options] [object file] Options: -s [float] : set vertex scale -sa [float] [float] [float] : set x/y/z vertex scale -st [float] : set uv scale -b [hex/oct/dec val] : set bank to use for output file -a [hex/oct/dec val] : set start offset to start writing data to -o [string] : output filename [will be in same dir as obj file if not specified, if that is not specified, program's directory will be used.] -h, --help : help message

it comes in the same pachage as obj2area go look at frozen's newbie tutorial for a link to the new(er) converter. And, spinout, whenever i try to use wotf.py it opens then exits; would i use it by going to the python command line and typing in the commands listed in ur post above?

Yeah, that should work. You can also use the normal command line, should the latter fail.

And it automatically inserts the file into the rom? Or would i still need to use the hex editor? And if i need to use a hex editor, is it anything like importing an MM map the old fashioned way? Any guides?....

It depends on what you are doing. Usually, you will have to insert the output somewhere, change pointers in the object table, and change the pointers from the old display lists of the old object to the new display lists of the new object. And using it from the python command line will NOT work. You must use wotf.py from a CMD/terminal command line.
