It's not impossible, also, that you may have a bad copy of ZLE2. Mine doesn't save to the ROM, so I'm forced to use UoT, unfortunately. I recommend the new copy of UoT over JSA's programs, anyway, as, while very useful and definitely a good choice no matter what, cooliscool has since completely rebuilt UoT from the ground up. You'll still probably want to try to use the old version for map modding, though, as the current release (as far as I know, from what Zeth has told me) does not support map vertex modification at the moment.

well i have the newest UoT and i have ZLE2 basically UoT can edit PJ64 says unknown CIC CHIP (error 1) executing on non-mapped space ending emulation (error 2) and ZLE2 says rombase found on (e.g.) 1324543252 and rambase not found

Are you using a clean copy of the Debug ROM? ZLE2 sometimes will work even with patched/modified ROMs, but it's pretty unreliable if the ROM is not completely clean.

You can use both tools on the same ROM; it just helps to start your modifications with a totally clean ROM so you can make sure ZLE2 will work with it, period. Try downloading another copy of the Debug ROM and using that; if it still doesn't work, then You'll have to just try using Utility of Time.
