So...we know that we can Import wavefront obj data into Legend of Zelda OoT....but can we do the opposite? I mean, if we can import...WHY NOT EXPORT? That would be the day that revolutionized the game play of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Who else is with me? I mean. that would be AWESOME! ;D Come on, spinout! I vote that spinout should make something that can export the maps into an format you can use in 3ds max...or some other program like that. Man....look at me, I am getting ahead of myself. Again... But if this was possible and it happened, that would be a big thing. Am i right? Hey spinout, if you can...can you please create a converter (or something) that can export maps from the game into a editable format? Like you did with the wavefront obj data importer? Just a thought i decided to throw out there.

I know, how about using 3d ripper DX to rip the models from uot.
3d ripper DX installs a plugin for 3ds max to import the .3DR format that 3d ripper DX outputs. 3d ripper DX rips any model from anything that runs directX9.0
search 3d ripper dx into youtube some time.
it doesn't work on pj64 for some reason though, this is just a suggestion.

you possibly can, but i'm not sure.
however I know you can rip the models from a Dolphin wii/gc, you could then convert it to .3ds format which Sketchup pro trial will import.
you could then export it as a wavefront .obj for uot or something.

well, i guess if it's not working, it's not working, and there's not much you can do until they release a new update for 3d ripper DX

Xdaniel's Zelda level viewer, Ozmav, has an option to dump .obj from the game. Though I'm not sure how you plan to revolutionize anything with the data.

in halo, there is a program called sparkedit, you can dump the map meshes to .obj files with that.
therefore, you can now load halo maps into zelda.

ok...so i was able to get the .obj files using: Xdaniel's Zelda level viewer. But...the level it self comes out black when i open it in 3ds max. I have tried to point it to the correct .mtl. But even that does not work. Can someone describe how to go about fixing this issue?
Thanks

Thanks because it rips the level and not the textures, dump the textures with rices video plugin, and try and set them up correctly with 3ds max
