I am in need of making treasure chests (multiple) appear with the suns song. I really dont care which song but MNGoldenEagle's actor list from ZAP2 only mentions that one. I cant ever get those chests to appear. I tried putting a "play ocarina spot here" actor but the room wont load with it. I am using room 119 for simplicity. Also it refuses to load iron knucles as well. As far as I can tell, they are group issues though. Can anyone fill me in on how to get those chests to load and maybe the iron knuckles too? I am using UoT and ZAP2, but neither are giving me any success. Thanks in advance!
PS, I am quite experienced (or so I think) with UoT, so advanced techniques are appreciated).

Well chest variables are in this format....
ABBC
A: Chest type, sun song appearing is A B: Item C: Chest Number, you can only have 16, 0-F, per zscene.
You can only have 1 sun song activated chest per zmap/room. Sorry.
As for your Iron Knuckles issues...
0113:0106:1901:Iron Knuckle (sitting, white) 0113:0106:1A01:Iron Knuckle (sitting, white) 0113:0106:FF01:Iron Knuckle (white, sitting) 0113:0106:FF02:Iron Knuckle (standing, black) 0113:0106:FF03:Iron Knuckle (white, standing)
From Despair's list. I tested the last two in 119, but they should all work fine. Actor 0113, Variable FF02, Group 0106.
If the problem is a crash, then I have a good idea what's going on. 119 contains a good amount of of GI groups to support all those items sitting on the floor. Removing those groups(most are labeled Unknown by group changer) will cause crashes. So replace the attacking floor tiles, or some other group you know isn't present in the room instead.

This is the set of objects used by spinout's obj converter program, and I was just having trouble changing them (the game kept crashing) so if I'm right you must edit them in the same way? I also changed all the actors and was only using about 5 different objects anyway, and I was not sure why it was crashing.

I finally got it working. JSA and deathbasket, thank you for your replies. I found that you CAN load Stalfos IF you load their group as the last blank group AND the fifth group (not sure why though). Also you can have as many sun song chests as you desire, but you have to be within like 1 foot of them or so when playing the song. So if you have more than one chest, you have to play the song multiple times, which I thought was a little excessive. In the end I decided to go with chests that opened when an enemy is killed. Once again thanks again guys! Ive added a couple of short vids: Kill enemies: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHrBd9KfhdASun's Song Multiple: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhdzpyGsA7Y

That looks pretty cool haddockd. I have one quick question as i am trying to load chests after an enemy dies too. I can get it to work perfectly, but i cant get a chest with a hylian shield. i've checked multiple websites and the lists that came with ZAP2, but no luck. the only shield i could get to load from a chest is the mirror shield. anyone know the hylian shield variable?

I use the lists that came with ZAP2 as well. You need to remember what jsa posted up top. If you want it to load after monsters are killed (all in the room) start with 1 and make sure the last number is unique. If 2 chests have the same last number, they will both open at the same time and you will lose one item. According to Despair's list you can use 54 to get your shield. So you need: Actor: 000A Group: 000E Variable: 154B I chose B arbitrarily. You can change it if you want.

There were 2 Actor lists that came with ZAP2, or at least the one I have. In the docs folder. I either used MNGolden Eagle or Despair's lists. So they get the credit. And to JSA for that Uber Awesome tool!
